Jiu Jitsu X Factor was founded in 2018 by David Szemerda and Mathieu Laliberté. These two tech nerds have been passionate about jiu jitsu and martial arts for the better part of a decade. Mathieu works as a digital transformation consultant for ODM World, and holds a purple belt from 10th Planet Montreal. Likewise, David works as a digital consultant for ODM, and holds a blue belt from 10th Planet Montreal.
The idea for Jiu Jitsu X Factor emerged one day after a deep discussion about the state of online BJJ courses and instructional videos. After heavily (yet constructively) criticizing the state of this industry as being somewhat outdated and overpriced, Mathieu and David decided to draw on their professional backgrounds and their passion for BJJ to create a new way of teaching and learning jiu jitsu online.
After all, who likes to spend hundreds of dollars on an instructional that contains an overwhelming amount of information, which is likely to be forgotten shortly after it’s been watched?
So, Mathieu and David began to construct a method for revolutionizing the way that we teach and learn jiu jitsu online. With the help from professors, teammates, and other jiu jitsu masterminds, Jiu Jitsu X Factor combines digital technology with sound educational principles to help you evolve your BJJ game in a way that saves you time and doesn’t empty your wallet!
